Support for your Doula Practice

Over the years, I have been contacted by many people who are either new to the doula profession, are curious if this work might be right for them, or have been practicing for awhile and are encountering more advanced challenges than their training prepared them for. Although I have not always had the time to give each of these people all of the support that they were looking for, it has always been in my heart to improve the experiences of people as they explore and begin to master doula work.
Based on my own experience of starting out and what I hear from the new doulas I meet, there seems to be a critical shortage of adaptable and accessible support for new doulas. In an effort to try to create support for doulas that reflects my values about the profession and the world, I have decided to open to the door to requests for assistance and attempt to address this need for ongoing support among new and emerging doulas.
As a result, I have begun to work as a mentor to a few doulas and am exploring ways to provide adaptable, as-needed support to other doulas in my network. Just like our clients, each doula has very different needs and challenges, and because we very often start out alone, there is a lot to be gained from having an experienced thinking buddy. I respectfully request that you have a look around my website before you get in touch to learn a little bit more about me and my practice to see if I really am the right resource for you.
After looking around my website, I encourage you to get in touch if you feel that you would benefit from my support for your practice. Although I do generally request compensation for my time, I am very interested in taking each individual's unique needs and circumstances into consideration. My ultimate goal is to improve the experiences of doulas so that we can do even better work for our clients.
